Everyone's being very polite by not talking while their mouths are full (like Emerson here, sampling some Horowitz Bacon for a midnight snack), but let's hear what you're thinking about when you think about bacon these days. Anybody?
According to the New York Times, whose Sunday Style Magazine featured an alarm clock that wakes you up by cooking a slice of bacon, "The other white meat is the new black."
Of course, bacon and barbecue--thank God!-- have never been unfashionable. But after eating perfect pork belly with lentils and foie gras at a bistro in Napa Valley this weekend, I am grateful that middlin' meat has become an haute culinary trend.
Now, when is the Gray Lady going to have enough sense to feature Horowitz Pork Products--and their fine product design? And how would y'all feel about making salami?
